LP63 Development Update: Refining the Internal Structure
LP63 update: We’ve now confirmed the next internal structure direction with the factory. What’s being refined: more stable front/rear support logic proper clearance in the lower case reduced risk of harsh internal contact under heavy typing better consistency for production Still refining, but the structure is getting closer to the version we actually want: cleaner, more stable, and more repeatable. LP63 Development Update: From “Working” to “Resolved”
Visited the factory today. The first case sample is out, and the anodized finish feels better than expected. But assembly also revealed a few issues we’re now fixing: keycap-to-case gap is still too large hard bottom contact can happen under heavy typing current O-ring support needs a more production-stable design Next revision: gap goes from ~1.8mm to ~1.0mm added clearance under stabilizers / switches discrete silicone supports replaced by full front/rear silicone strips locked into the case internal damping stack revised for more consistent sound Not changing direction.Just turning LP63... LP63 Development Update: Structural Refinements, Logo Details, and Keycap Decisions
We’ve recently made several refinements to LP63, mainly around internal structure, exterior detailing, and long-term durability. Here’s a clear update on what has changed and why. First, we made a small structural revision to the internal O-ring support design. The bottom structure has been adjusted to give the silicone O-ring support pads a more stable mounting foundation and better long-term durability. This is not a change in direction for the typing feel or the core suspension concept. The end result remains the same as what we originally intended. In other... Read more...
LP-63 Update — A cleaner silver direction, refined details, and a clearer keycap path
LP-63 is starting to feel more resolved visually. The case is moving toward a cleaner all-silver direction, the logo treatment is being refined, and the keycap direction is becoming clearer. Read more...
LP63 Development Update: One-Piece CNC Case, Lower Front Height, and What Comes Next
We’ve now entered the structural evaluation stage for LP63 and are working closely with our manufacturing partner to review the key details of the design. During this process, we also took another serious look at community feedback. Based on those discussions, we decided to move away from the original split-case concept and switch to a one-piece CNC aluminum case. This change matters for a few reasons. First, it removes the visible seam lines from the exterior, which gives the board a cleaner and more unified appearance. Second, it helps the... Read more...
